On-line Catalogue for Licenses

The on-line catalogue for licenses is an important tool for the private sector in that it provides complete and up to date information on licensing requirements to start and operate a business in Afghanistan.

The information that is provided for each license include the contact details of the licensing body, documents required, step-by-step procedure, who needs the license, the legal authority that makes the license enforceable and the rationale for having the license in place.

It should be noted that:

1. Information is currently being updated through meetings that PSDD staff are holding with the various licensing authorities.  The areas that not yet completed have N/A.

2. In the section on the rationale for having a license in place, it is reported what the staff of the relevant licensing department has indicated during the meeting.
